A Hastily Assembled Mix CD

There wasn't a particular theme here, rather I wanted to capture a certain mood. More specifically, I wanted something that would satisfy the part of me that has only wanted to listen to All Things Must Pass for weeks on end. I also wanted it to be pretty girl-singer heavy. Currently it doesn't have a clever name- its labeled "Girl CD" so my husband will know that it isn't his.

An Introduction

Having tried (and failed) in the past to keep up with a super-conceptual, well-written, and original blog, I've decided to attempt a person-type blog. One with lots of pictures and helpful tips and rants about coffee or whatever.

To get us started, here is a picture of a terrifying flea market I visited in Fayetteville, NC. It was supposed to be a fun, thrifty stop on the way home from my honeymoon. The sign was amazing, but the inside was run-of-the-mill "fallen off the truck" merchandise. Although, there were several shops, girded in chicken wire, that seemed to specialize in Quinceanera dresses. That was new for me.

This flea market was one of many things that convinced me that Fayetteville, NC is the worst place in the world. At one point while I was there, I shouted (aloud, while in the car with my husband) " I'm sorry for everything I have ever said about you, Philadelphia. THIS is the worst place in the world". Fayetteville has been hit hard by the recession ( as has much of the south), so its full of empty buildings, angry southerners, Religious Right radio stations, and I had to drive past the Smithfield Ham Factory to get there.

Hell smells like a Ham Factory. I'm sure of that.
